There has been an technical error in the Facebook sign up script for new users. Since December 13 2011 RGBStock did not have any new users from Facebook. The Facebook sign up button didn't work . But we fixed it now, and it should be working fine again.

RGBstock has a new photo format: The 600pixels detail photo:

I think it is an improvement.

I just noticed new way of displaying random images... Very nice&cute! Nice work for constantly improving the site :)
(well, maybe it is not new - but i just find out about it :) - so it is new to me)..

This Sunday (September 16) rgbstock.com was down for several hours. We had some hard- and software problems. Everything should be fine now. Thanks to our great technicians.

There is one problem:
Ststistics - downloaded photos per last week is probably reset :)

The database currently contains the history starting from Aug. 1.
I assume that is enough for now for the "Recent downloaded photos from your gallery" ?
Or did you mean the statistics on your user profile page ?

On the statistics, I keep track of the total number of downloads from my images as reported on the photomanagement page, and record against date. My total went down last night by 20. I presume this is a cleanup of the database from any double counting or test downloads that was the result of the recent glitches?

Sure. On http://www.rgbstock.com/photomanagement the following two lines appear:
Number of downloads: 3227
photos published: 711
I have a short script that downloads this page at least once a day, and extracts those two numbers. I record them in a text file against the date (along with the total number of photos on the site):

So, comparing the last two lines there is now a difference of -16 (it was -20 this morning, there have been 4 photos downloaded since then). I had what I would consider a surprisingly large number of downloads of the Rural Landscape, Pond Landscape and Country House photos - perhaps because they got "stuck" as the most recently added new photos while the uploading was broken? Then when the number went down I just assumed it was to do with @329 and @328, and perhaps the deletion of double-counted downloads from the double-appearing photos... (so when those were removed from the database, the total number of my photos downloaded was adjusted).
I don't collect per-photo stats, so I can't tell you which photos might be connected to this issue.

I'll need some more time to investigate this. 20 seems like a lot more than I would expect. I'll see if I can look into this in the weekend. I should have time for that.
