late
I missed the bus
then you have a
tale
to tell
I wish somebody would listen when I
talk
- grumble. Today my bus didn't come at all, I had to wait in the cold for the next one.
That's not good. Public transport needs to run on time. So many people depend on it. Otherwise they
walk
Or you take a
waka
canoe, if availiable
that would
wake
you up
I'm too
weak
to paddle when I'm nearly asleep ;-)
people will
gawk
at you if you sit still in a canoe
hopefully they'll come to your rescue if the canoe sinks!
It's safer to
walk.
You'll be late anyhow!
and met with a
wall
of silence by your bosses
I think I can walk in carrying the canoe over my head. This
will
distract nicely from being late ;-)
there will be
wild
laughter from all your Co-workers
a clever
wile
on your part
good to keep some
idle
colleagues busy for a while
it's not as if you
lied
to them
Today's bus was 5 minutes late. I don't like that, but that's
life...
I saw a Youtube video by a girl from Trinidad who is living in Western Australia. She was rubbishing Australia (in a friendly way), but said that we have no reason to complain about our public transport. She said that even the traffic is controlled here and she appreciates it and can't understand anyone complaining about things being a few minutes late. First world problems, hey? Not a trial by
fire
that is a
fair
argument. we never have those bush fires over here.
we do, but this last fortnight has consisted of bucketloads of
rain
and thunder storms - and it has been really hot, sultry weather
I believe a cool change is coming later in the week.
I must go to Petrus, too,
ring
and complain for more snow - winter was far too weak over here so far. No snow at all...
add my complaint to the list
no snow here, either
grin
Oh we had snow last weekend and a lot people loose the
grip
on the street and were seriously hurt. So we had a lot to do at work.
That's something I never remember - the ice and slipperiness. I'd definitely hurt myself. I'd have to carry a personal bag of
grit
everywhere to get some traction!
yes, slipperiness is not easy to deal with and you have to be very careful under those wheather conditions. I can't understand those who still drive like
