@9 They were spam like and I got booted for leaving too many of them. Somebody must have complained so I can't log in anymore. I can only observe what is going on there. Reduced to lurking.
We started this place and it is just like the good old sxc with a spiffy new interface and fast, friendly interaction with the admins. We are completely independent and volunteer.
We are still under construction so you will see new features and improvements as time goes on. We are open for suggestions so if you see something you miss, leave a note in the Technical section of the forum or write Contact Us. I answer the contacts and parse them out as necessary.

I just checked and they took it down. It lasted almost six hours. I'll bet your account stays intact.

The best way is to contact people who have commented on your images, or just on the contact form. It's best if they have initiated the contact, because then it isn't spam. And people are more likely to come and have a look if they are invited personally.

@18: ali... actually, i wrote a handful of people (including you and jyn meyer) bemoaning the current state of sxc. i hadn't known about rgb yet... but i got so depressed, i searched for dez (xymonau) and the others... found dez on hilary's blog, then followed her lin to here...
whew... long story...
short answer: no, man... i didn't know about rgb yet when i wrote you... :)

Glad the blog came in handy Greekgod! I'm dying to write a full blog article about this web site and send a lot of traffic here, but I'm not 100% on board with this web site yet (the admin team already know why).. hopefully the issue I have will get sorted because I would love to promo the site a lot more and be fully advocating it, same as I have always done for you guys :) I'm going to remove the link back here for now from Dez's post, I just can't link to here until my issue is addressed.. my conscience won't allow me to.. If any admin wants to know more, please ask Lynne for a copy of an email I sent her recently, you're free to read it if you wish.. anyway, later!!
